About

Art Tiles are made by Janice Walrafen in her studio located at AllTogetherNow! Community Arts Center in East Montpelier Vermont. The studio and the beautiful 1800’s farmhouse is powered by the sun with photovoltaic solar trackers and back-up batteries.

Janice began making tiles in the early 1990’s inspired by the beauty of nature and the desire to bring this beauty into peoples homes through decorative tile.

Creating original designs and creating molds of them, Janice hand presses, carefully dries, fires and glazes each tile, creating multiple yet unique tiles. She also creates one-of a-kind artistic murals and Custom Design murals.

Additionally, Janice creates sculptures, vessels, and masks using slab technique.
